Five Spice Chicken

This traditional Chinese blend gives chicken an aroma and flavour that no one can resist.

Ingredients for  4  Servings

  • 4
    Skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 400g
    Mixed stir-fry vegetables
  • 4
    Garlic cloves, crushed
  • 4 tbsp
    Garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 tbsp
    Dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp
    White wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp
    Sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 tsp
    Chinese five-spice powder

    Low calorie cooking spray
  • To Serve

    Boiled rice

Method

  1. Mix the light soy sauce, chilli sauce, wine vinegar, garlic and five-spice powder in a wide bowl. Add the chicken and toss to mix well.
  2. Spray a large wok with low calorie cooking spray and place over a high heat. Add the chicken mixture and stir-fry for 5 minutes or until lightly browned.
  3. Add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, then add the dark soy sauce and toss together for 1-2 minutes until piping hot.
  4. Serve hot with boiled rice.
