Ingredients for  4  Servings

  • 500g
    Thick, lean beef or sirloin steaks, all visible fat removed
  • 200g
    Baby potatoes
  • 200g
    Baby carrots, peeled
  • 200g
    Green beans, trimmed and halved
  • 1
    Garlic bulb, cloves separated and peeled
  • 1 tbsp
    Black peppercorns
  • 2 tbsp
    White wine vinegar
  • 200ml
    Beef stock, boiling hot
  • 2 tbsp
    Dried dill
  • -
    Salt
  • -
    Fresh dill, chopped, to garnish

Method

  1. Place the beef, vegetables, garlic cloves, peppercorn, vinegar, stock and dill into the slow cooker pot and stir well.
  2. Add the salt to taste, cover and cook on LOW for 7 hours or until the meat is tender.
  3. Remove from the cooker and serve sprinkled with chopped dill.

Notes

Don't have a slow cooker?

Use a large pan or saucepan. Cover and simmer over a low heat  until the meat is tender.
