Rapeseed Oil

Rapeseed oil is one of the oldest known vegetable oils naturally low in saturated fat and high in unsaturated fat.

Rapeseed oil is produced from the seeds of the rape plant, a yellow flowering plant belonging to the mustard or cabbage family. It’s an excellent source of vitamin E. Rapeseed oil is also a great source of an omega-3 fat known as alpha-linolenic acid.

Because rapeseed oil is almost flavourless, you can use it in a variety of dishes. It works great in dips, salad dressings, baking, pan-frying, and deep-frying.

Varients

Canola oil is a food-grade version derived from rapeseed cultivars specifically bred for low erucic acid content.
