Dill

Dill (Anethum graveolens) is an annual herb in the celery family Apiaceae. Fresh and dried dill leaves are called "dill weed" or "dillweed" to distinguish it from dill seed. Like caraway, the fern-like leaves of dill are aromatic with an aniseed flavour and are used to flavour foods.

With their pungent anise and caraway flavours, the seeds are commonly used as a pickling spice.
